3rd December 2021

Dear,

Thank you for your email dated 04th November 2021, where you asked:

“As your Yellow Card reporting system, unlike Vaers doesn’t state the ages, or pre-conditions of any of the victims of ADRs, from the Covid 19 Vaccines.

Please provide all and not limited to, ages & pre-conditions of people who have and not limited to Myocarditis or have Died from any other ADR.”

Unfortunately, we are unable to provide details of past medical history for individual cases. Because of the way this information is captured within our database, this would require manual extraction of the information from each individual case. Please be reassured that any information provided regarding a patient’s past medical history or concurrent conditions is taken into account during the routine assessment of all cases that we receive. The other information requested, including patient age, is withheld under Section 35 of the FOI Act. Section 35 of the FOI Act protects the internal deliberative process as it relates to government policy making. The MHRA have previously confirmed that we will publish iDAPs for the COVID-19 vaccines. The MHRA and Department of Health will be undertaking discussions around the timing of when this data should be placed in the public domain. Until this policy decision has been agreed we are unable to release additional data beyond what is included in the weekly summary of Yellow Card reporting.

I hope the information provided is helpful, but if you are dissatisfied with the handling of your request, you have the right to ask for an internal review. Internal review requests should be submitted within two months of the date of this response; and can be addressed to this email address.

Yours sincerely,

FOI Team
