Frank Green, Joan Green and Mark Green trading as F M Green has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.

The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.

The application is to vary licence serial number WA/055/0019/009 which authorises the abstraction of water from Luke Brook at National Grid Reference SO 55290 23715.

The variation applied for is for the purpose of building a reservoir for subsequent trickle irrigation. The abstraction period will change from ‘01 May to 30 September inclusive’ to ‘01 November to 31 March inclusive’. The daily abstraction rate will increase from 400 cubic metres per day to 960 cubic metres per day.

The application is to abstract water as follows:

  • 40 cubic metres an hour
  • 960 cubic metres a day
  • 12,000 cubic metres a year
