An application has been made to the Environment Agency by Foxburrow Farm Limited. The Environment Agency are required to give notice of this application.

The application is for a full licence to abstract water from the River Wensum at National Grid Reference (NGR) TG 0211 1850.

The proposal is to abstract water at the following rates and periods:

  • 1,500 cubic metres a day
  • 100,000 cubic metres a year

Between 1 November and 31 March inclusive in each year.

The water will be used for filling a reservoir for subsequent spray irrigation. The abstraction will have the following condition applied to protect the environment, protected rights and lawful users. The abstraction will be subject to a minimum required flow being passed before abstraction can take place.
