The Forensic Science Service (FSS) became a Government Owned Company (GovCo) on 5 December 2005. On this date the Trading Fund order was revoked with all assets and liabilities of the FSS as a Trading Fund (except those relating to the Custodianship of the National DNA Database which were transferred to the Home Office at the same time) transferred to the GovCo, Forensic Science Service Ltd

This paper was laid before Parliament in response to a legislative requirement or as a Return to an Address and was ordered to be printed by the House of Commons.
