FOI ref 0289-15 explains that the FCO uses its art collection to promote the UK overseas and it is usually displayed in our embassies, high commissions and consulates. A link to gov.uk is given where details of art displayed by the FCO can be found together with costs. Since May 2010, the FCO has not purchased any original artwork
