Details

FOI ref 0076-15 cites section 12 (time limit) of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 for questions 1 to 5 about staff and criminal convictions. It answers question 6 by providing a link to the FCO annual accounts where the number of casual workers for 2010 to 2013 can be found. For 2014 to 2015 the response gives the number of casual workers as at 31 December 2014 as 16. In answer to questions 7 and 8, it explains that no staff have been employed incorrectly by the FCO and that all staff are offered employment subject to obtaining security vetting clearance that covers pre-appointment checks which include checks on criminal records and on nationality. UK based staff need to have lived in the UK for two out of the last 10 years
