Details

This request asked for information on the number of agency staff (as defined by the agency rules for trusts) employed by NHS Improvement, and the number at certain pay rates. The request also asked for the number of agency staff that appeared in permanent roles on the organisation structure chart, and related information such as the their grade and length of time in post, and information on the number of Very Senior Manager posts that appear as permanent roles and are filled by agency staff, and related information.

NHS Improvement held the requested information and decided to withhold the information on the basis of the applicability of section 12 of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (the cost of answering the request would exceed the prescribed limit)
