The requestor asks 12 questions regarding NHSI’s BACS payments and Direct Debit collection software. The questions relate to the providers of the software, spend on the software in the last two years, decision-making on choosing software providers, with whom the organisation holds its primary bank account, whether BACS processing is provided on behalf of any other organisation and the payment types used.

NHS Improvement held some the requested information and decided to withhold some of the information it held on the basis of the exemption in section 40(2) of the Freedom of Information Act 2000.
