The request was for a copy of all correspondence and communications between Newcastle Upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and NHS Improvement, within the period from June 2016 to February 2017, on the subject of the trust’s chief executive.

NHS Improvement withheld some of the information it held on the basis of the exemptions in sections 31, 40 and 41 of the Freedom of Information Act 2000.
