Request for agency spend for financial years 14/15 and 15/16 for NHS foundation trusts, acute trusts, ambulance trusts, and mental health trusts, broken down by staff group including medical/dental, nursing/midwifery, allied health professionals, and health science services.

NHS Improvement explained that it holds some but not all of the information requested, and applied sections 31, 33, 41 and 43 to withhold the information it holds. Upon request for internal review, NHS Improvement decided to release the information it holds.
