Details

The government is investing £5.2 billion in a new 6-year flood and coastal defence investment programme in England from for 2021 to 2027. This will fund around 2,000 new defence schemes to better protect 336,000 properties. The plan sets out:

  • the aims of the investment programme
  • how we’ll develop the portfolio of projects to improve the country’s flood and coastal defences
  • how we’ll manage the investment and track progress
