This report is in response to a request from the House of Commons Environmental Audit Committee (EAC). The Industrial Injuries Advisory Council (IIAC) should review the evidence concerning the risk of cancer in firefighters and recommend prescription under the Industrial Injuries Scheme (II Scheme) following the Grenfell Tower fire.

Following its review of the evidence published in the available scientific literature, IIAC were unable to find sufficient evidence to warrant recommending prescription at this time.
