Detail

The SFA have developed an online apprenticeship training search facility that employers can use to find apprenticeship standards or frameworks and identify approved providers that can deliver the training.

To populate this search, training providers need to provide brief information about:

  • their organisation
  • the apprenticeships they offer
  • the geographical areas they cover

This information will be collected using the course directory provider portal. Training providers can choose to either input the data directly or upload a file containing all of their apprenticeship information.

Details of how to do either option are in the apprenticeship data: course directory provider portal user guide. Please read the user guide and go to the course directory provider portal to return your apprenticeship information.

Training providers need to make sure that their apprenticeship information is suitable for employers. Currently, apprenticeship information on provider websites or in marketing materials is often aimed at learners. Details of how to do this are in the course directory provider portal: content guidance.

We recommend that MI staff work with their marketing or business development colleagues on this new data collection.
