Ferry Lane Farms Limited have applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.
The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application, in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.
The application is for a full licence to abstract water from the River Trent at Twyford at NGR SK 33000 28037.
The application is to abstract water as follows:
- 40 cubic metres an hour
- 500 cubic metres a day
- 30,000 cubic metres a year
Between 1 April and 30 September inclusive in each year.
The water will be used for spray irrigation. The proposed abstraction lies within the Trent to Derwent confluence catchment and the Lower Trent & Erewash abstraction licensing strategy area.
