FCDO gender pay gap report 2025

Details

The Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) has prepared this report as part of the legal requirement for public authorities to publish their gender pay gap on each year.

The FCDO continues to have a Gender Pay Gap (GPG) although we have made positive progress in the last year in most measures. Since 2024 there has been the following changes in the FCDO’s GPG:

  • the mean GPG has decreased from 2.5% to 2.0%
  • the median GPG has increased from 2.7% to 3.2%
  • the mean bonus GPG has decreased from 9.1% to 4.3%
  • the median bonus GPG has been maintained at 0.0%

This report outlines actions the FCDO is taking to continue to reduce the GPG, including to:

  • increase women in the Senior Civil Service (SCS)
  • invest in our talent
  • support those experiencing the menopause
  • ensure equalities considerations are taken into account in the FCDO2030 change programme
