We received a request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 for the following:
‘We wish to obtain disclosure of the procedure in consideration which is taken into account when determining applications under the concession announced by the Home Secretary on 24th October 2003 (the one -off concession) with respect to the grant of indefinite leave to remain to families who had applied for asylum before the 2nd October 2000 which are taken into account when determining applications under the policy, and in particular what regard is had to the issue of dependency of family members irrespective of age.’
