The commission opened a statutory inquiry into the charity using its powers under s.46 of the Charities Act 2011 on 9 November 2015.
The charity sought a decision review on the basis that it objected to the opening of the inquiry and therefore the commission conducted a review under its review procedures.
The Reviewer considered the objections as well as information submitted with the request for a review and concluded that the decision to open the inquiry was a reasonable, proportionate and lawful decision, properly taken.
