This regulatory position statement (RPS) does not change your legal requirement to: 

1. Report 2024 nation of sale and self-managed organisational waste data, in line with the Producer Responsibility Obligations (Packaging and Packaging Waste) Regulations 2024 (the Packaging regulations).

2. Collect and report 2025 nation of sale, self-managed organisational waste and plastic and paper bags data in line with the Packaging Regulations.

However, the Environment Agency will not normally take enforcement action if you do not comply with these legal requirements if you meet the requirements in this RPS.

This regulatory position does not apply to any other legal requirements.
