List of explosive detection systems for cabin baggage approved by us for general and exceptional case by case use in aviation security.

Formatting has been set to mirror ECAC descriptors.

  18. 3 new equipment configurations added to the list from Analogic, and updated entries from IDSS Holdings Inc., Leidos, Nuctech, Rapiscan and Smiths Detection.

  19. Listing of the approved explosive detection systems for cabin baggage (EDSCB) approved by the Department for Transport for use in aviation security.

The approved EDSCB analyses cabin bags and trays for the presence of explosive material.

This listing has a 3 tier standard approval. The first standard, C1, is approved for use in airports.

The remaining standards, C2 and C3, will require special approval from us before being used.
