Foreword

This notice cancels and replaces Notice 195 January 2002. However, the information contained in the notice has not changed.

1 Introduction

This notice is for traders who have to declare liquid quantities on HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) documents, etc.

It contains tables to help you work out the quantity of liquid (ullage) present in a cask.

You do not have to use them if you prefer another accurate method. Our officers will use them to check many of the calculations.
