We have received a request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 for the following:
- Has the Home Office ever had a policy, either published or unpublished, of granting Exceptional or Discretionary Leave to Remain to applicants from the Peoples Republic of China (PRC)?
- If there has been such a policy, was this a blanket policy?
- If there has been such a policy, what dates did it run between?
In particular, when did the policy cease to have effect? - Has there at any time, been a cessation of removals to the PRC as
it has been unsafe to travel/return?
