Europe 2020: National Reform Programme 2016

Details

The 2016 UK National Reform Programme sets out the actions that the government is taking to address the structural reform challenges facing the UK, in line with a set of country-specific recommendations endorsed by Heads of State or government at the European Council in June 2015.

Member states of the European Union submit a National Reform Programme, before the end of April each year, as part of the European Semester. The EU surveillance structure under Europe 2020, known as the European Semester, brings together reporting on fiscal and structural policies.

The UK National Reform Programme, submitted on 24 March 2016, is drawn from information already in the public domain.
