1. Information: academy general annual grant allocation guides 2018 to 2019

We’ve published the academy general annual grant allocation guides for the 2018 to 2019 academic year for mainstream academies, free schools, UTC’s and studio schools, special and alternative provision academies and special free schools.

We’ll begin issuing academy allocation statements for 2018 to 2019 towards the end of February.

We’ll upload allocation statements to the Document Exchange ‘revenue funding’ folder, under ‘AY 2018-19 (2018/19)’. You can access Document Exchange by logging into Information Exchange, and choosing the Document Exchange tab at the top of the page. For support and guidance about Information Exchange, please visit our support page.

We expect to upload all allocation statements for academies that opened before or on 1 January 2018 by the end of March 2018.

We’ll upload allocations for 2018 to 2019 for February and March 2018 opening academies by mid-April 2018.

2. Information: 16 to 19 school and academy sixth form 2018 to 2019 allocation calculation toolkits

We have uploaded 16 to 19 school and academy sixth form 2018 to 2019 allocation calculation toolkits (ACT) for most institutions to ESFA Information Exchange. The ACT is saved in the Document Exchange ‘Revenue Funding’ folder, under ‘AY 2018-19 (2018/19)’. You can access Document Exchange by logging into ESFA Information Exchange, and choosing the Document Exchange tab at the top of the page.

The ACT includes the factors and funding band proportions for your 2018 to 2019 allocation and demonstrates how we have used your data to arrive at them. For most schools and academies, the ACT also includes lagged student numbers. It does not include information relating to care leavers or large programmes. We will communicate these in your allocation statement at a later date.

We’ve published detailed guidance to help you understand your ACT. You should only submit a business case relating to the data within ACT in April 2018, after you have received and reviewed your allocation statement.

If you have any questions about your ACT, please use our online enquiry form. For support and guidance about ESFA Information Exchange, please visit our support page.
