Who should read
All ESF Direct Bid Grant Recipients, the Greater London Authority and the ESF Managing Authority (MA).
Purpose
This action note is to inform all ESF Direct Bid Grant Recipients (GRs) of the change to the deadline for submitting Desk Based Evidence Check (DBEC) documentary evidence on quarterly claims.
Background
As we approach the final stages of the Programme, it is important that ESF claims are progressed and paid promptly to ensure that funding can be claimed from the European Commission by Programme end.
Action
The deadline to submit DBEC documentary evidence to ECLAIMS will be revised to within 5 working days of the date the request is made, with immediate effect. The DBEC letter will be revised to reflect this. This is in acknowledgement of the requirement for GRs to have evidence to support the accuracy, and eligibility of costs in place, and available at the point of claim submission.
