Purpose
The European Social Fund Operational Programme has been updated and published on 06 February 2023.
Background
The ESF Managing Authority submitted a revised Operational Programme to the European Commission on 14 November 2022. The European Commission approved the revisions and adopted the revised Operational programme on 16 December 2022.
The revisions are:
- updated unit costs to reflect current economic conditions
- revised the way results targets are monitored to make them more transparent (changing from percentage to volume targets in many cases)
- moving funds between Categories of Region from relatively low demand areas to higher demand areas to ensure demand is balanced across the programme and reduce the risk of both over and underspends
These revisions are reflected in tables 4 & 5 of each Investment Priority and the financial tables 6 to 28.
