All ESF Beneficiary Organisations, and ESF Managing Authority

Purpose

This Action Note is to inform ESF Funded Projects of the actions that will be undertaken by the Managing Authority (MA) to support beneficiaries in the claims’ process and address incomplete claims.

Background

As we approach the final stages of the Programme, it is important that Projects funded by ESF submit claims in line with the terms of the Funding Agreement. This will ensure that the MA can approve and pay claims and that funding can be claimed from the European Commission by Programme end.

On the first day following the end of the claim instalment period, a Pre-Claim letter will be issued advising beneficiaries of their responsibilities and providing some useful points to assist those that have previously submitted incomplete claims.

It also acts as a reminder that the MA can and will invoke the clauses set out in the Funding Agreement.

Action

All beneficiary organisations to ensure all their staff are familiar with the claims’ process.
