Details

The Environmental Permitting Regulations 2010 (as amended) SI 2010/675 came into force on 6 April 2010 and require operators of certain industrial and waste facilities to obtain permits. As the Regulator, the Environment Agency (EA) will consult on certain permit applications to allow interested individuals and organisations to provide them with relevant information on issues related to an application that might affect them or upon which they have particular expertise. This guide describes how the EA consults PHE on environmental permit applications and how PHE responds to these consultations.
