Details

A letter from Emma Reynolds, Defra Environment Secretary of State to Ofwat outlining her preliminary concerns of the offer put forward by investors to recapitalise Thames Water. Within her response she states that it does not sufficiently protect customers and the environment.  

Ofwat is considering the proposal and the final decision rests with Ofwat. 

The Secretary of State made a statement to the House of Commons to that effect.
