Details of the proposal
The Environment Agency is proposing to revoke (cancel) the abstraction licence numbers mentioned below.
The Environment Agency is required to give notice of this proposal. The Environment Agency gives this notice under section 52 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and regulation 31 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.
Licence number 7/35/04/*G/0073 allows the Licence Holder A Hayward and Son, Ashmoor Hall, Campsea Ashe, Woodbridge, Suffolk, IP13 0PF to abstract a total of 9,091 cubic metres of water a year at National Grid Reference TM 3347 5725.
Licence number 8/37/31/*S/0071 allows the Licence Holder A & B Hayes Farms, Killigrews, Margaretting, Essex, CM4 0EZ to abstract a total of 14,000 cubic metres of water a year between National Grid References TL 794 241 - TL 798 241 and TL 796 242 – TL 806 231.
Licence number 8/37/31/*S/0088 allows the Licence Holder R Goodwin & Son, Ashmans Farm, Kelvedon, Colchester, Essex, CO5 9BT to abstract a total of 13,600 cubic metres of water a year at National Grid Reference TL 855 173.
Licence number 6/33/41/*S/0022 allows the Licence Holder S W Cross & Sons Limited, Dairy Farm, Ixworth, Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk, IP31 2HB to abstract a total of 1,636.6 cubic metres of water a year between National Grid References TL 9268 7100 and TL 927 703.
The proposal is to revoke (cancel) the licences listed above.
The Environment Agency has made this proposal as part of a programme to help restore sustainable abstraction and to conserve, and secure the proper use of, water resources.
