Details of the proposal
The Environment Agency is proposing to revoke (cancel) the abstraction licence numbers mentioned below.
The Environment Agency is required to give notice of this proposal. The Environment Agency give this notice under section 52 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and regulation 31 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.
Licence number 2/27/12/125 allows the Licence Holder Rhodia UK Limited, Oak House, Reeds Crescent, Watford, Hertfordshire, WD24 4QP to abstract a total of 182,000 cubic metres a year at National Grid Reference (NGR) SE 0890 1960.
Licence number 2/27/12/273 allows the Licence Holder Rhodia UK Limited, Oak House, Reeds Crescent, Watford, Hertfordshire, WD24 4QP to abstract a total of 182,000 cubic metres a year at NGR SE 0890 1960.
Licence number 2/27/12/131 allows the Licence Holder Abaris Holdings Limited, c/o Walker Greenbank Plc, Bradbourne Drive, Tilbrook, Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, MK7 8BE to abstract a total of 136,383 cubic metres a year at NGRs SE 068 212, SE 073 213 and SE 076 213.
Licence number 2/27/20/215 allows the Licence Holder Atkinsons (Aberford) Limited, Woodhouse Grange Farm, Aberford, Leeds, West Yorkshire, LS25 3DA to abstract a total of 54,550 cubic metres a year at NGR SE 4550 3772.
The proposal is to revoke (cancel) the licences listed above.
The Environment Agency has made this proposal as part of a programme to help restore sustainable abstraction and to conserve, and secure the proper use of, water resources.
