The Environment Agency’s ambition is to be the best employer for equality, diversity, and inclusion in the United Kingdom.

Our equality, diversity, and inclusion strategy sets out how we will  achieve this from 2022 to 2025. We will concentrate on 4 key objectives to help us deliver our ambition:

  • build and develop an inclusive and respectful culture that allows everyone to be their best selves at work

  • increase the diversity of our workforce

  • ensure equity of opportunity in performance, development, progression and pay

  • increase our ability to protect and improve the environment for all communities

This strategy is for all Environment Agency employees at all levels.
