The Environment Agency is applying to the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs for a licence.
The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application, in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.
The application is for a transfer licence to abstract water from the River Great Ouse at National Grid Reference TL 28155 71963.
The application is to abstract water as follows:
- 1,368 cubic metres an hour
- 32,832 cubic metres a day
- 11,991,888 cubic metres a year
All year.
Further details of the proposal are: the abstracted water will be transferred via a fish pass to National Grid Reference TL 28166 71956. The fish pass will bypass a sluice gate taking water upstream of the sluice and discharging the water downstream of the sluice.
