The aim of this project is to review the traceability research the Marine Management Organisation (MMO) has undertaken and to provide information that could facilitate the fishing industry to track fish end-to-end in the supply chain. It comprises two paired reports – a traceability review with findings from previous evidence projects, key drivers for change and opportunities for increasing traceability, and a report with real-world case studies where end-to-end traceability and digitisation have been improved. Full-chain traceability has the potential to unlock huge opportunities for the seafood industry and the MMO’s goal is to support the industry in achieving this.
