This document provides an update on the CMA’s:
- monitoring of UK road fuel prices, retail spreads and margins
- Fuel Finder compliance and enforcement
In the report, we assess the impact of the conflict in the Middle East on fuel prices and margins in May and June 2026. We also analyse the differences in prices of retail petrol and diesel between different types of outlets, as well as the drivers of trends in prices and margins.
We also set out next steps in our approach to monitoring.
