Secretary of State for Energy Security and Net Zero Ed Miliband and Minister of Climate and Policy and Green Growth and Deputy Prime Minister Sophie Hermans signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to promote and strengthen the collaboration and cooperation between the two countries in the field of energy transition, energy policy and climate.
This ambitious and wide-ranging agreement will deepen and bolster our cooperation across a wide range of energy policy areas, including:
- offshore wind
- electricity interconnection
- energy security and winter preparedness
- gas interconnection
- hydrogen
- carbon capture, utilisation, and storage (CCUS)
- civil nuclear including Small Modular Reactors (SMRs)
- heat networks and decarbonising heat
