Provides a brief overview of the specific activities in oil and gas within DECC’s Energy Development Unit, via the Offshore Environment and Decommissioning directorate and the Licensing, Exploration and Development directorate which are responsible for the sustainable control of resource use and infrastructure development and works to ensure that industry and government work closely together to achieve safe, secure and sustainable energy supplies on the way to a low carbon energy future.
