This leaflet will help employers recruit EU citizens for seasonal work after the UK leaves the EU.

EU citizens can continue to come to the UK for seasonal work in 2019 and 2020.

If there’s a deal:

  • there will be no change to current arrangements for EU citizens in 2019 and 2020

If there’s no deal:

  • EU citizens can enter the UK and take up work in 2019 and 2020
  • EU citizens arriving after 29 March, who want to stay for more than three months, will need to register for European Temporary Leave to Remain to continue working in the UK
