Details

Through the Employer Ownership of Skills pilot employers were invited to develop proposals that raise skills, create jobs, and drive enterprise and economic growth. Government has invested in projects in which employers are also prepared to commit their own funds in order to make better use of our combined resources.

We published Employer Ownership of Skills: Building the Momentum in March 2013. This document made 8 recommendations for aligning skills investment with growth potential, and developing a training system that is fully focused on its customers - businesses and people.

There were two rounds to the pilot. Round 1 projects were announced in September 2012. The first phase of Round 2 projects were announced in September 2013. The remaining Round 2 projects were announced throughout 2014.
