This explanatory memorandum is about a European Commission proposal for a regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council amending regulations 2019/943 and 2019/942 as well as directives 2018/2001 and 2019/944 to improve the Union’s electricity market design.

It was submitted by The Rt Hon Graham Stuart MP, Minister of State for Energy Security and Net Zero, Department for Energy Security and Net Zero.
