Details of the application

Elveden Farms Limited has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.

The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 8 of The Water Abstraction (Transitional Provisions) Regulations 2017.

The Environment Agency has received the following abstraction licence application within the Don and Rother catchment.

The application is for a full licence to abstract water as follows:

  • at an instantaneous rate of 12.5 litres per second
  • 45 cubic metres an hour
  • 900 cubic metres a day
  • 15,795 cubic metres a year
  • between 1 April and 31 October inclusive in each year
  • at National Grid Reference SE 75510 18218
  • from abstraction location Goole Fields Drain at the Goole Estate, Goole, East Riding of Yorkshire.

The water will be used for trickle irrigation.
