Expected eligible projects

The following transmission projects are expected to be in scope for the Bill Discount Scheme.

Notes

The scheme is subject to Parliament approving the necessary legislation, which is expected later this year.

Some of the projects listed have not yet received planning consent, or are still going through an appeals process. A project will only qualify for the scheme once it has received all required approvals and construction has started.

Households will begin receiving scheme payments only after an eligible project has started construction.

The bill discount scheme will not influence planning decisions. All planning applications will continue to be considered through the usual planning process.

Project descriptions may vary because Transmission Operators submit planning applications in different ways. However, only the elements of each listed project that fall within the scheme’s scope are expected to be eligible.

England
