Details of the application

EJ Stevens and Son has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.

The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 8 of The Water Abstraction (Transitional Provisions) Regulations 2017.

The Environment Agency has received the following abstraction licence application within the Exe catchment.

The application is for a full licence to abstract water as follows:

  • at an instantaneous rate of 64.1 litres per second
  • 231 cubic metres an hour
  • 2,284 cubic metres a day
  • 8,830 cubic metres a year
  • between 1 March and 30 September inclusive in each year
  • at National Grid References (NGRs) ST 00629 12991 and ST 00639 12981
  • from abstraction location unnamed pond at Halberton Court Farm, Halberton, Tiverton, Devon.

The water will be used for Trickle irrigation.
