1. Reminder: August accounts return deadline approaching
The deadline for academy trusts to submit their August accounts return is 31 January 2015. You will need to submit it through the EFA Document Exchange, using the published guidance.
2. Information: updates to funding information for new academies
EFA has updated the funding allocation schedule and produced a guide to estimating your revenue funding allocation.
The guide is for schools working towards opening as academies. It links to online data and has examples for each of the main elements of academy revenue funding, known as the general annual grant (GAG).
Schools who are preparing to open as academies will receive a draft funding statement from EFA after their academy order has been granted. Before receiving this draft statement, these schools can use the guide to make an estimate of their academy funding allocation as part of their financial planning.

EFA has published its annual report and accounts for the period April 2013 to March 2014 on GOV.UK.
