Details of the application

Edward Vinson Limited has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.

The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 8 of The Water Abstraction (Transitional Provisions) Regulations 2017.

The Environment Agency has received the following abstraction licence application within the North Kent catchment.

The application is to vary a full licence to abstract water as follows:

  • at an instantaneous rate of 28.4 litres per second
  • 103 cubic metres an hour
  • 1,000 cubic metres a day
  • 67,312 cubic metres a year
  • between 1 April and 31 March inclusive in each year
  • at National Grid Reference TQ 94569 64663
  • from abstraction location Tonge Mill Stream at Wilford Court Farm, Tonge, Kent.

The water will be used for trickle irrigation storage.
