Call for evidence responses from the education sector to the Migration Advisory Committee (MAC).

In July 2017, the government commissioned the MAC to advise on the economic and social impacts of the UK’s exit from the European Union and also on how the UK’s immigration system should be aligned with a modern industrial strategy.

The call for evidence ran from 4 August to 27 October 2017 and identified the sort of information that the MAC would find most helpful to receive.

The MAC call for evidence set out questions for stakeholders relating to:

  • EEA migration trends
  • recruitment practices, training and skills
  • economic, social and fiscal impacts

Respondents were also able to provide the MAC with other relevant information. The responses have been organised into sectors.
