Marine plans place sustainability at the centre of all decisions.
The Sustainability Appraisal (SA) provides an independent assessment of economic, social and environmental sustainability.
The East Marine Plan SA covers direct and indirect effects within the plan areas as well as considering possible indirect effects in neighbouring areas including terrestrial areas and those for other EU countries where relevant.
