Details

The East Marine Plans were the first marine plans to be adopted in England in 2014. The 2020 and 2023 review of the Plans revealed amendments would be necessary to address the likely significant increase in marine activity, and marine planning response, over the coming years. This project reviewed current levels of activity, for all sectors in the Marine Policy Statement, in the East Marine Plan areas and considered potential future scenarios for each sector over a 6 and 20 year timeframe. A PESTLE analysis was used to identify the drivers of change for each sector. This is to provide an evidence base to support the development of the next iteration of the East Marine Plans.
