The main report outlines the findings from the evaluation of phase 3 of the early years professional development programme.

The evaluation, which ran between 2023 and 2025, involved online surveys and interviews with programme participants.

The programme gave continuing professional development to early years practitioners.

The second report outlines the findings from a small scale process evaluation of phase 1 of the early years professional development programme.

This smaller evaluation involved interviews with the leaders of:

• 7 local authorities
• 5 early years settings

Phase 1 ran between 2019 and 2021.
