Details of the application
E.and J.W.Glendinning Limited has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.
The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.
The application is to vary licence serial number SW/046/0004/025 to abstract water from underground strata comprising of Chercombe Bridge Limestone at Linhay Quarry, Ashburton, Devon, for the purpose of transferring it without intervening use to Ballam Stream at National Grid Reference SX 76617 70928.
The variation applied for is: To change the area of abstraction from an area contained within the boundary formed by straight lines running between the following National Grid References (NGRs): SX 76611 71188, SX 77263 71753, SX 77592 71401 and SX 76916 70854.
To: an area contained within the boundary formed by straight lines running between the following NGRs: SX 78017 71635, SX 77534 72179, SX 76486 71261 and SX 76970 70876.
