An application has been made to the Environment Agency by E K Hobson & Sons Ltd. The Environment Agency are required to give notice of this application.

The application is for a full licence to abstract water from West Fen Catchwater Drain at:

Rectory Farm
Station Road
Tumby Woodside
Boston
Lincolnshire

Between National Grid Reference (NGR): TF 26279 56637 and TF 27409 5761, and TF27498 57819 and TF27639 58159.

The proposal is to abstract water at the following rates and periods:

  • 32 cubic metres an hour
  • 631 cubic metres a day
  • 5,136 cubic metres a year

Between 1 May and 30 September inclusive in each year.

The water will be used for spray irrigation of crops
